Maximilian Duke

Max Duke is a nonprofit and public media executive with more than 25 years of experience helping mission-driven organizations build capacity, navigate change, and strengthen long-term sustainability. His work focuses on organizational strategy, partnership development, workforce and leadership development, and the design of scalable systems that support impact across complex, distributed networks.

As Vice President of Station Strategy & Development at PBS, Max leads a cross-functional team supporting local PBS member stations across communications, content, engagement, technology, and professional development. His work has included creating governance and advisory structures, developing sustainability and messaging strategies, and establishing a Project Management Office to oversee business-critical, cross-departmental initiatives. He worked closely with funding partners to create a multi-tiered workforce development department focused on talent retention, executive growth, and organizational resilience that serves more than 7,000 employees.

Earlier in his career, he held senior executive roles at South Florida PBS, including Vice President of Content & Community Partnerships, where he managed large multidisciplinary teams and budgets, guided a major organizational merger, expanded earned and contributed revenue, and built partnerships that increased community impact and financial sustainability.
