Willette Roundtree Shalishali is the Sr. Director of Talent Management and Development. In this role, she provides oversight and strategic direction on Synovus talent management processes and core learning and development offerings. She is privileged to lead a team of focused on delivering development solutions that meet business needs and support performance objectives.

The Synovus L&D mission is to help team members learn, grow, lead, and win, and Willette applies these principles to her own professional development. She believes in the power of continuous learning and thinks that learning (and un-learning) is the new competitive advantage. She aims to be a life-long learner—a mission and purpose both in and out of the workplace.

Willette started her career as a management associate, which gave her a solid banking foundation. She was a Commercial Banker and Private Wealth Advisor before transitioning to Learning and Development. She also previously provided program management and oversight to the Synovus Accelerated Banker and Internship programs. Willette is a member of the African American Employee Resource Group and the Women Inspiring Success and Empowerment (WISE) Employee Resource Group at Synovus. She was recognized as an Emerging Leader at the Synovus Chairman’s Awards in 2023. Currently, she serves on the Right From the Start board and GA Chamber Committee for Talent and Leadership.

She is also a proud mom who is raising two girls (Mila -7, Elise -4) alongside her husband, teammate, and love Alex. When she is not working, you might find her learning something new, listening to podcasts, and being with family.
