Rico Maranto
Senior Manager of Leadership Development
WM
Rico Maranto is the Senior Manager, Leadership Development at WM. He has been in this role for just over a year. His vision is for all WM leaders to become equipped, empowered, and engaged human-centered leaders.
Rico began his career in US Air Force. While in the military, he attended his first leadership class. He loved all that he learned about leadership. He realized the leadership skills he was developing not only helped people become better employees but also helped them become better spouses, parents, friends, and community members. He was hooked. He determined he would dedicate his life to sharing what he had learned to help others grow as he had.
He then transferred to learning and development in the Air Force and thereafter continued in L&D in various industries, including Information Technology, Petrochemical, and Waste Services. He taught his first leadership class in 2000 and has since trained, coached, and mentored thousands of leaders. His thirst to learn more about leadership led him to pursue a master’s in Organizational Leadership. He continues to learn about leadership and knows there is still much to learn.
Rico enjoys hiking, volleyball, pickleball, playing the piano, and spending time with his family.
