Angel (pronouns: he/him/él) currently works as the Human Resources Advisor to the Strategic Business Solutions HR GM, providing effective partnership and counsel to manage people efforts across five Business Units at Chevron: Business Development, Corporate Affairs, Information Technology, Strategy & Sustainability, and Supply Chain Management.

He joined Chevron in 2005 in the Global Downstream Latin America HR team in Coral Gables, Florida. Through his career Angel has gained broad HR experience through roles in Latin America, the corporate center, North America headquarters, global IT, and the innovation center. These roles involved HR data and project management, and business partner support for various employee relations, change management, and talent development initiatives. In his career, Angel has lived and worked in Florida, California, Venezuela, and currently since 2015 in Houston, Texas.

This year Angel was selected as the global President for the Chevron PRIDE Network, the organization’s LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group (ERG). He had served as the global Vice President in 2023, and as a lead for the ERG’s Houston chapter since 2019. Prior to that he held the position of Learning & Development Lead with the Houston chapter since 2016.

Angel has a master’s degree in adult education and HR development from Florida International University, and a bachelor’s degree in communication studies with a minor in HR management from Nova Southeastern University.

Angel is a champion of inclusion with high levels of integrity and respect for the contributions of all individuals.
