Akshay Loomba is a seasoned HR professional who began his career almost 2 decades ago as a recruiter, at a financial management firm back in India. His career trajectory has led him to establish himself as a Global Recruitment Leader with notable experience in countries like India, Mexico, Brazil and now USA, across various industry domains. He currently heads Talent Acquisition at Unifi, North America's leading aviation services provider. At Unifi, Akshay has been instrumental in building front-line hiring strategies and tools from scratch, contributing significantly to the company's success. His work in the aviation industry involves navigating the challenges of hiring across 200+ airports and managing a recruitment workforce of more than 23,000 employees. Akshay's key focus has been on creating a seamless front-line candidate experience also known as the “path of least resistance” and creating a robust brand for Unifi in the US market. Last year, Akshay's achievements were acknowledged when he was awarded the Atlanta Business Chronicle's SHRM Awards. He is also the recipient of the Brandon Hall Excellence Awards HCM Spring Program 2023 – Best Advance in Talent Acquisition Process, Gold - for his contributions to Unifi.
